Attack #1

Attack #1
Where: Sheridan and Irving Park
Plants: Daylilies, lavender, thyme

Last night was our first "attack" on a public space and it was a huge success. Byron and I arrived at the space at around 10pm and got right to work. Within minutes we already had people stopping by, asking us about the project. "Oh my god!" one girl exclaimed, "Are you guys guerrilla gardening?!" We told her that we were. She said that she walked by this space every day and would be sure to admire it tomorrow in the daylight. We got everything done at breakneck speed and were done and back in the truck by 45 minutes after we started.

Check out all our great pictures below.

super cool. sorry i didn't make it. i know the city is selling rain garden plants at a discounted price to residents this summer...maybe that could be an idea for getting future plants on the cheap? they'd have to go in areas that get a lot of rain though i'm guessing.
